fox weather max gorden is alive in little rock with the latest on this, max. >> this neighborhood i am standing in right now it looks like a bomb went off. the recovery process is now underway. residents picking up what is left of their homes. cruise out in the street. today president biden issued a major disaster declaration for the state of arkansas that unlocks additional federal resources for the state. this after the f3 twister hit little rock on friday. now, the tornado hit around 2:2n friday. according to the national weather service traveled nearly 30 miles and a maximum width of more than a while with a maximum width of 165 miles per hour. a high end ef-3. according to the city of little rock more than 50 people were injured in the tornado and one person died bring the tornado tore apart homes and businesses between 212600 buildings have been damaged. 10,000 customers here are still without power. crews have been working to get the lights back on. meanwhile volunteers have also been out on the ground including one family i talked to came here to pass out water bottles. >> less

fox weather's max gorden in arkansas, still recovering from last week's deadly outbreak. are you seeing today? >> >> no rest for the weary here in the midsection of the united states. here in little rock, as you mentioned, they're still recovering from the ef-3 tornado that tore loss to the northern part of the city. utility trucks behind me. all the buckets had to go down, because we've had a line of thunderstorms move in the area. lots of lightning and some heavy rain at times. going over to glenallen, missouri, where we saw a tornado touch down in the early hours of this morning. missouri state patrol saying there have been victims, casualties there, as well as injuries, no word on how many people have been hurt or killed in that tornado. storm chasers in the area say they saw many houses destroyed with this tornado. we should be learning more on that in the coming hours. of now, up in iowa, we saw a rope tornado touch down, tearing apart fields there, doing some significant damage there. very, very impressive to see one of those touch down. we saw large-size hail. als

pete: fox weather correspondent max gorden is live in hard hit little rock, arkansas, with the latesty, good morning. s the incredible driving around little rock's west side. it literally looks like a war zone here. but the recovery process is now underway. yesterday residents and work crews were out trying to begin that long process of getting back on the city's feet. now, this after an ef3 tornado struck little rock, arkansas. it hit around 2:22 in the afternoon, that's according to the national weather service. it a had winds of around 165 miles per hour and a maximum wind of -- width of more than a mile. this was a high-end ef3 tornado. of more than 50 people were injuredded in the tornado and 1 person died. the tornado tore homes and businesses apart. it's still unclear how many buildings might have been damaged. more than 115 city workers were out clearing debris from the streets, and all roads are now cleared here. 16,000 people were still without power as of saturday afternoon, but crews have been working to get the lights back on. yesterday arkansas governor sarah huckabee sa
