max gorden is live and now we with all the latest.g to you. >> such a devastating situation on the island of maui, while the focus has been on the fire and lahaina, it is not the only one burning, were next to a home that was destroyed by the upcountry fire, one of several burning on the island in maui in the upcountry fire has been tougher firefighters to get a handle on, only 65% contained right now. it's been burning and rugged country, 19 houses have been destroyed in the upcountry fire. the west side that's where the entire focus in the dental has been rising as rescue crews try to search for people still missing. 99 confirmed dead, that number is expected to rise with hundreds still missing in the town of lahaina were 12000 once lived. according to officials a quarter of the burn area has been searched, identifying the dead has been difficult. only three of the 99 people that have been found have been able to be identified with fingerprints, people on the island are being encouraged to give dna swabs to help identify love ones.
