joining us now is democratic congresswoman maxine waters. she chairs the financial services committee, one of the six committees working on potential articles of impeachment. i know it's a busy morning for you. thank you very much for joining ush. so you have been investigating president trump's financial dealings for months now. so what changes for you today? >> well, what changes for all of us is the fact that nancy pelosi, the speaker of the house of representatives, has now formalized an impeachment inquiry which means that we will continue to do the investigations that we've done. we will probably have more resources dedicated to the investigations. we will probably speed up the work that is being done, perhaps this will send a message to the court where we have issued subpoenas and they have been resisted by the trump lawyers. maybe now the court will see the importance of what we're doing

that's currently what we're tracking for maxine. the move-out date for maxine hall is currently in october, into the temporary facility. and the clinic will remain there for the whole duration of the construction face. and cash emissions, just wicly oquickly on that, we finishing up design, and we had to push out the bidding date, do some mec commechanical improvements and air conditioning, that has been added to this project. we're looking at starting bidding at the end of the year, and starting construction by the early part of 2020. and then moving to ambulance facility component, this is one project -- one big project. it is constructing a new facility for the e.m.s. section of the fire department. an n.p.p. was issued in october 22 of 2015, and steel erection started in july. i'm happy to report in the early part of august, just a few weeks ago, we've completed the steel erection, and we've had a very nice and formal steel topping off ceremony with the fire department and the contractor. so this project is well under way. at th

we have heard from some of your democratic colleagues, maxine waters, barbara lee saying impeachment now. any to happen now while you have momentum. others are saying this could take anywhere between six weeks to the end of 2019. perhaps heading into the 2020 election year. what does, in your estimation, how long will this process take? rep. pocan: it will depend on a number of things. i don't think that amount of time matters. what matters is the thoroughness. the whistleblower has to come before the committee but thanks to the president this week essentially saying the person was guilty of treason, which is punishable by death, we now have all sorts of concerns for the whistleblower, protection to make sure they are in good safety. first, you have to have that witness come. as was in the whistleblower report, and number of other things from the attorney general to the vice president. i don't exactly care about the amount of time it will take, but what is important is it is thorough enough. if the white house starts to do what they did throughout the whole mueller report which is bl
