[laughter] no poets, as far as we know. i am told that when jfk was a senator, he said in 1956 if more politicians knew poetry and more poets knew politics, the world would be a better place to live and that may well be true. what we do know is that many presidents have consciously used meter, rhyme, alliteration, and cadence to get people's attention. let me now tell you how we're going to proceed. each of our panelists will speak for less than 10 minutes and then i will help, i doubt they will need much help and having a conversation with each other, they seem a spirited crew. after they do that for a while we will have q&a from the audience and then there will be book signing for those who will hopefully get some interestin
