one was able to make a mayday call. none of the people on board say they were wearing life jackets. >> he was swimming towards us saying, help me. got him to the edge of the boat, was holding onto him. he was responsive for the most part. when he was unresponsive, i pulled him toward me. >> definitely had a life jacket on all at times. >> reporter: but not this time? >> no. but that will on the change. >> reporter: that was ralph deacon, he said he remembers being out here and watching them build the richmond bridge. there were four people out here, ralph deacon, the owner of the boat, we don't want to give his name because we don't know his condition and may not have made it. they were doing cpr at the time they finally took him away. the four men went out to fish for albacore. fortunately, they were able to call the coast guard in order for them to be rescued off the boat. we'll continue to try to make some calls to find out the condition of the fourth person. kraig debro, ktvu channel 2 news. >> thank you, kraig. >>>

i sent out a mayday call, so she flew in to help me. and my son is bombing out. we're going to this nice -- there or whatever. and he's at dinner, and i'm sitting there looking at this kid going, "do i hug him? do i give him prozac?" i mean, this kid is on the edge.
