response kava made to the civil grand jury, and i just want to thank all the supervisors and late mayor lee and current mayor breed for their support of the open source voting system. we at open voting consortium and now the california voting officials are the pioneers of this open source voting and realize switching to a new election technology takes time. it's not necessarily complicated to build out the system. there's precedent in new hampshire, but if we're going to do it right, obviously, we have to garner the political will that's taken about ten years, and now we're glad to see linda jerrell and the department of technology step in and we can hopefully get started. this year's civil grand jury called me in to discuss the kava discuss, and the new grand jury accepted the answer i presented, and i had some corrections to the report. it seemed to be basically founded in the slalom report, and i've gone on record in front of the election commission to say that the slalom report was erroneous in a lot of ways. it is great news that we look like we're moving toward a general public licens

first of all, recognize that supervisor, excuse me, that mayor lee was the original mayor that was around when the legislation was introduced and had some apprehensions on it. mayor farrell refused to deal with it, but mayor breed stepped up to the table to try to solve and close the gap and then was demotted and then now she's back, and so it's almost like a romantic saga. i want to talk about the household labor. tim paulson, in the middle of his own transition, leading the conversation and he transitioned from the labor council to the building trades, and then you rudy gonzales, stepped up, not confirmed but stepping in the role. a really interesting exercise in leadership and diplomacy. a lot of thank yous that need to go around, and you know what else, one lost his mother in the middle of the transition, thank you for being so resilient and strong and able to continue to press on. rudy's little boy got sick -- incredible, you don't know behind the scenes what has transpired, it's been a very, very heavy lift. and although we are going, doing a lot of thank yous around, acknowledge th

i want to reiterate this idea that mayor lee's commitment was clear. when we did prop b, he was clear we're going to put money into this for teacher housing. and he said that over and over again. and he wanted to make sure we were all meeting together, because this couldn't be a project that the school district could lead, or the city could lead on its own. and it's been a wonderful project to see. i want to thank faith, kate and jeff from the mayor's team. they've been great in making sure the city is clear about their participation in this and how critical was for us to do something this innovative in a city where many of our educators are deeply challenged. so on thursday, we're going to be doing a school-naming in honor of mayor lee and i thought it was just appropriate for us to once again recognize his commitment to our educators. and thankful for that. three bedrooms. i was glad to see we're have three bedrooms. we don't have three bedrooms in a lot of the developments that are coming online now. i'm wondering if that was intended for families,

little bit all over the map, but this is going to roll out and we need to streamline, whether it's mayor lee or our current mayor. i think all 11 members of the board are trying to do that. we're holding adu fairs. we are looking for a financing product that will help mom-and-pop owners doing it. i'm not totally sanguine. it's a relatively small percentage of the entire package. i think it's worth analysis, the fee structure. and certainly i agree that lower fees are an incentive, but i don't know this is where the bottle neck is occurring. so as to f-6, it's not a big deal, but partially disagree and say that the recommendation requires further analysis within six months of this hearing date. and maybe during that time we can get the controller to do further analysis to determine the effect of permit fees on the construction of new adus. and i think that is more consistent with our recommendation which is that further analysis is required. so i would make that suggestion relative to f-6. >> supervisor kim: thank you, supervisor peskin. i agree that does make our amendments more consistent.
