wiener and supervisor cowen and thank you for hearing that i want to acknowledging commissioner mazzucco i manage the group at the puc this enters into a long term agreement with pg&e for the north beach library it authorizes the pg&e inform enter other agreements without prior board approval it allows the agreement to start generating electricity for all solar projects connected to the grid it is to insure the proximately can remain connected to the grid. the puc hats several projects and the board of supervisors has approved each of the intersection agreements we currently have 13 connect agreement and stimulate 9 to 12 additional projects in the next 3 years the terms of the interaction their retained in granting the authorization will streamline the process for the city's labor projects the puc recommended the board of supervisors approving approve this to enter into the north beach library interconnection agreement and similar agreements in the future. thank you very much. >> thank you very much. colleagues questions or comments? i wanted to say this is a good step forward we finall

. >> good evening president mazzucco and you have a written report in your packet this evening, and some of the case statistics and mediations and adjudications in may and so tonight we will give you a snapshot of our statistics as of today, and a report on some recent activities and a summary of the may adjudications. and in 2014, to date, the occ has opened, 329 cases compared to 309 cases as of june 11, 2013, this is a nine percent increase in cases filed. and as of june 11th, 2013, the occ had 305 pending cases, but the four vacantcies, in the temporary investigations contributed to the pending cases this year. and as of today, the occ has 331 pending cases, and the other s, but in the time that we would like to see. and as of today, the occ has mediated 26 cases compared to 24 through june 30th of last year. moving to the occ's budget, mayor lee's proposed budget for the occ takes no cuts and begins to remedy the step adjustment and attrition adjustments that reduce the occ personnel budget, in 2013, 14, by, 300,000 dollars that is the equivalent of nearly 3 investigator positions.

i know that i had a discussion with commissioner mazzucco some time late last year about the traffic and some of the issues that we are having, obviously, late in the year and early in january. with the pedestrian fatalities that were happening. it was a hot topic, and the department rightfully so, bought into the vision zer oso that we can definish the number of collisions that occurred down to zero in a number of years and currently, when the com stat gave me the numbers through the first quarter, we are even with where we were last year but i also know that in january and february we had a number of incidents that occurred, especially in the northern district on two high corridor areas, that being lombard street and murder on polk and ellis of the young girl and lombard is an interstate where we often have collisions. but what we did is we asked the officers to refocus themselves on their traffic enforcement and their traffic education, and addressed it with the community through my newsletters and through the community groups that i went to. constantly, asking them to be aware of
