, wg director andrew mccabe on charges of lying to federal agents. joining me now for a reaction to all of this, former acting attorney general matt whitaker. matt, we appreciate you joining us here tonight. first, i want to get your take on this report from the inspector general as trey gowdy pointing out, this is the second time he's been on the receiving end of this but what is your take away from the findings by the inspector general? >> well, the inspector general i think really laid out a very clear case as to jim comey as director of the fbi choosing his own personal interests and personal desires over that of the interest of the department of justice and the fbi. you know, many of us that served which jim comey in the bush administration heard him give a speech about a reservoir of trust that was so hard to fill and so easy to spill and i'm just reminded every time i see one of these jim comey ig reports that he kicked over that reservoir of trust that so many had contributed to making sure the department of justice was above reproach and had
