police say 45-year-old corey mccalister was alleged by behind the wheel of a stolen vehicle that hit and killed two women walking in a crosswalk. the 45-year-old was intoxicated. also committed a burglary before that incident. both are circulating to recall the district attorney and hire an investigative journalist to look into his office and his approach. the online platform has gathered more than 5,000 signatures and raised more than 40,000 to hire that investigator. a local law investigator is pushing back. the statement from the san francisco police officer association explains they charged him five separate times last year and explaining in part, quote, the sf-poa is requesting the district attorneys office go under a thorough independent review of potential conflicts of interests in criminal cases. including a full analysis of individual cases that are still active of former office of public defender employees who are now employed. additionally, the sfpoa requests that all records related to the court proceedings for the 2015 armory robbery case be released, including the plea
