welcome i'm jooathan mccall. justine enjoying the night off wildfire smoke contributing to the air quality that we are dealing with here in the bay area. but there is some good news from all of those fires that is happening across northern california today, folks in south lake tahoe who were forced to flee from the caldor fire have now been given the green light to go back home. as for the caldor fire itself, cal fire now says that the fire has burned more than 215,000 acres in el dorado and amador counties. the fire has also destroyed more than 900 structures and injured 5 people. the caldor fire. now at 44% containment. and in the last hour, the u.s. coast guard urging folks to avoid recreational activities at lake tahoe this weekend. officials say there could be fewer boat crews and first responders on the water because of the fires in the area because of that, they warned that it could take them longer than normal to get to you in case of an emergency containment. meanwhile, on the dixie fire. now up to 56%.
