josh: police are searching for a shirtless man who walked into a mcdonald's in concord, pointed a gun at a cashier and threatened to hill her if she dnld hand over the cash drawer. reporter: police say the suspect was only wearing a mask, shorts and what looks like water shoes when he held up this mcdonald's here on fisherville road early this morning. surveillance images show the man walking into the restaurant shortly before 1:00 a.m., shirtless, carrying what looks like a rifle or shotgun. police say the suspect pointed the weapon at one of the workers, demanded money and threatened to kill the employees several times. when the clerk went to give the man money, he grabbed the entire cash drawer and fled. police say the man ran north and may have left the scene in a dark colored car. >> obviously the weapon is seen, you can see that in several of the stills, somebody may recognize that. it's unusual that we would have a robbery involving a large weapon, a rifle or shotgun, it's not typical. so we're hoping that's something that stands out in someone's mind. reporter: police say they

mcdonalds offering the breakfast menu all day long. that means you can grab your favorite. it's a move by mcdonalds to try to boost its lagging sales and it comes in response to other restaurants boosting their breakfast menus. ktvu spoke to a couple early risers who say they support the move. >> you go anywhere in the country you can find something that is good quality and the food and everything is consistent. the prices are nearly all consistent. i want them to hang on and do everything they can. >> people want ham and eggs 24 hours a cayday. some people they don't get up until 2:00 in the afternoon. betty:you mentioned mcdonald's early on. mcdonald's has just introduced all-day breakfast.ating into dunkin' we check every day and it is not eating in at all. i think it will help us overall. at no place can you get the same menu all day every day and dunkin' donuts. we have done it for years. it goes back to our history. our franchisees are trained in it, the crew is trained in it. the same breakfast 5:00 at night as you can 7:00 in the morning, and i think it will underline what you can get a dunkin' donuts. i see this as a plus, not a negative. thing aboutther your turn around, i don't even ,ant to call it a turnaround just trying to get more sales and people more on mobile and digital is most of your restaurants are owned by franchisees. you do not own any of your restaurants. is it hard then to get all of these restaurants in line to some of the initiatives you are talking about? we actually own 45 restaurants. we saw a drop between q2 and q3. it is all about influence. we are working very hard. we intend to improve our trend. providenceam out in talking to franchisee
