it all started at a gas station in san jose at the intersection of king and mckee that is where theythe suspect punched a 68 year old man and then took his car. there happen to be a police officer pulling in at the time, he saw the whole thing and that is when the police chase started. about a half hour later farther up the road, we had a suspect rammed a patrol car and that is the officer that was seriously injured. the chase continued to the other side of 680 near north capitol ave. police said the suspect ramped to more squad car and then kept going. it was in a few blocks away that a police officer actually used his patrol car to protect a family that was crossing the street. the suspect tried to acquire the patrol car and then turned around and headed back across 680 and it was here at the intersection that the suspect was cornered, taser, and then taken into custody. we will talk more about this story throughout the day and give you more details. we will take a quick break and be back with more headlines in just a minute. here is a live look from our roof camera looking back at
