where do -- mckenzie. where do they feel things stands now with iran? so general mckenziey maintains that the threat from iran and proxy forces remains very real. and is still imminent. but what has changed over the last week or two is that one of the areas that the u.s. military was very concerned about and that's the maritime threat, particularly in the persian gulf and the strait of hormuz, some of the tension there has gone down a bit. general mckenzie credits the addition of some large military assets to the region. one being the "uss abraham lincoln," aircraft carrier, and another this bomber task force. these are b-52s, there are right here at the air base in qatar. general mckenzie maintain that's even though tensions are down, there still are threats. particularly from shia militia groups, iranian-baked militia groups in iraq and the houthis in yemen, for any attacks against saudi arabia or ships and into the red sea. we spoke with general mckenzie specifically about the impact he thinks that these additional military assets are having. here's
