and of course, it is the location in mclaren park which is the city's second biggest park after goldenthe neighborhood in the first place if they haven't been there. we call it the best neighborhood nobody has ever heard our. every neighborhood in district nine has a very special aspect. where we are right now is the mission district. the mission district is a very special part of our city. you smell the tacos at the [speaking spanish] and they have the best latin pastries. they have these shortbread cookies with caramel in the middle. and then you walk further down and you have sunrise cafÉ. it is a place that you come for the incredible food, but also to learn about what is happening in the neighborhood and how you can help and support your community. >> twenty-fourth street is the birthplace of the movement. we have over 620 murals. it is the largest outdoor public gallery in the country and possibly the world. >> you can find so much political engagement park next to so much incredible art. it's another reason why we think this is a cultural district that we must preserve. resources for them, including some improvements, some pedestrian and trail improvements around mclaren park at the edge of visitacion valley . sorry. okay, in terms of our next steps, we do not anticipate programing, any funds for projects, for new projects? certainly in the in the next two years in, in very modest amount in the next five years. ipic had said that they really would like to focus on the projects that we had committed to through previously appropriation cycles. and so we're keeping a list of that projects, and we'll be funding them as the money comes in. and we have a process amongst agencies to see how to how to distribute that money. it's usually based on need or what project needs it strategically at a given time, as we've been doing this, i just should say the agencies have been very cooperative and working with each other so that each could get as much or as money that is absolutely key to their projects and move it to the next phase. i think it was what we'll be doing this year is we'll be taking this time, since we won't be doing a lot of new programing, is to look at

mclaren. she is the only female commissioner to have a park or other recreational facility named for her in san francisco. in 1908 elected to board of directors of the california club and early san francisco athletic clubs where wives of the male members to further social causes. part of the forefront of elevating the status of women. she was part of the playground movement in the united states. hew maretens saw play grounds to social solution of urban environments where people lived in small places because they had poor air quality elsewhere. hayward was appointed by mayor taylor to newly created playground commission and served 10 years before her passing in 1918. i would like to share this is the first women history month as a commission where we have been majority women commissioners.
