mcmorris rodgers, for five minutes. mrs. rodgers: thank you, mr. chairman. madam speaker, you mentioned the drawdown on the strategic petroleum reserve and it's been drawn down to record lows. nearly 200 million barrels in a single year now has been drawn down by this administration, and i believe that this is reckless, it's dangerous. this is a strategic asset, and depleting the reserves risks our energy future. it adds to emboldening russia and china. i wanted to ask. this latest unprecedented drawdown will mean we will have about a quarter of the stockpile projected for 2030. that means we'll be down at 100 million barrels in our strategic petroleum reserve. that's about enough for about a week. what are your plans to replenish the reserve? secretary granholm: we will be replenishing the reserve. there are plans to do that. mrs. rodgers: congressional democrats have blocked attempts in the past when oil -- when gasoline prices, oil prices were low in 2020, attempts, which would have made sense to replenish the reserve then, were blocked. secretary granhol
