molly: representative mcneily i would to bring you back here.'s another issue at stake here that an attempt is being made to eliminate tenure at unc and to require minimum class sizes, your thoughts on that and any accusation that is that can be punitive in a sense? >> as far as what we are trying to do here with the tenure is real simple. we have a lot of professors, like i said, close to 700 that signed the petition. i don't know exactly how many professors they have at unc but that gets it down to about 35 kids to each professor that signed this petition so i'm starting to question here and i don't think all of the professors signed it, i guess my question is, how many professors do we have at unc chapel hill and maybe we have too many, maybe we don't but this seems to be a pretty large crowd. tenure to me should be something that should be earned and it is but also cherished and i don't think that you should do research all of the time. we hire you to teach children to teach our youth and see a lot of them that are teaching maybe one class a
