we will talk to mcsally just ahead but first we wanted to hear from the voters themselves. we start with the pressing issue of immigration and how illegals have affected this border state. raymond arroyo joins me for the questioning of this group. here's part one. i want to begin with an issue that is front and center right now and that's the issue of immigration. now there are multiple caravans barrelling toward our southern border. as a border state here in arizona, a lot of the migrants could end up in your own backyard. so show of hands here, how many of you think we should welcome all members of the caravan despite evidence from are criminals within the group. raise your hand. all members of the caravan. >> i don't think there's criminals in the group. >> you don't think there are any criminals? >> i think there are women and children who are trying to get away from fear and military dictators and all kinds of other problems in their countries. >> actually, griff jenkins with our correspondent down, and he's been with the caravan for a number of days. he interviewed va

mcsally conceding. one of the theories that's out there about why mcsally might have had extra incentive to do that is it looks like jon kyl in that other seat, appointed a couple months ago, has made it clear he wants to move early next year, it looks like that seat will be open soon. mcsally may be in line for an appointme appointment. so keep an eye on that one. the other big development in the georgia's governor's race. brian kemp, the republican. the key here is does that number, that 53%, does that fall below 50%? that would trigger the runoff in georgia. a ruling from a federal judge in georgia that opened the door to an unknown number of ballots, provisional ballots, being considered. so what was on the table before in terms ofo outstanding votes was not going to be enough. now maybe, we don't know the exact number, there may be an outside possibility with these new votes. there could be -- there are also lawsuits from democrats trying to expand the number of absentee ballots that are considered

it's martha mcsally from arizona. let's start with immigration. completed a focus group, so important for the voters of the state. how is your view on immigration different from your opponents? >> it's like night and it day. i chair at the border security district and the subcommittee and i'm working with president trump to make sure we built a wall, secure the border, close these crazy loopholes that are taken advantage of every day, and move forward in a way that is protecting americans. my opponent was actually an activist helping people cross illegally in her past and even though she has had an amazing political makeovers, she has voted to support sanctuary cities. an important vote that's meaningful in arizona is she voted against grant's law, named after grant running back. in the end angel families have endorsed me and she refused to meet with them. grant was shot point blank by someone who shouldn't even have been here. she refused to vote yes on this, and she is out of touch. >> i want to play something for you because she's basically say

martha mcsally, tied herself very closely to the president. i think there's republican shift away from the president towards sinema. like we've seen in other suburban areas, like we've seen in certain demographic groups, there's been some shift away. basically, i think sinema is a pretty good candidate in a year in which trump alienated a fair number of swing voters. >> how are the democrats preparing for the 2020 election? what are some of the names being discussed for a presidential run? >> jonathan? >> so every democrat and their brother and sister and their cousin and their mother and their son and their daughter wants to run for president. i think the name that i hear the most right now in terms of intensity and energy, despite the fact he lost by 2.6 in the texas senate race is beto o'rourke. democrats are excited about the potential for him to energize their grassroots. he raised $38 million in a quarter for that senate race. he's somebody that they see as exciting. a lot of folks in obama's world look at him as somebody not necessarily

martha mcsally campaigned side by side with mcsally.rysten sinema distanced herself from traditional democrats. she has moved more towards the middle. liz: in texas 5 million people already voted. that's more than the total number of votes cast throughout the entire state of texas in the mid-term election. let's bring in texas attorney general ken paxton. why -- what's going on with the strong turnout? who is it going to benefit? ted cruz or beto o'rourke. >> i think you have strong turnouts on both sides. if you look at collin county we are setting the record for all counties in texas. the fact that republicans are turning out is an advantage for republicans. generally we are a republican state, so the advantage goes to the republican party. liz: what was your reaction to the report that homeland security is saying the members of the migrant caravan come from 20 countries including afghanistan, bang le - bangladd pakistan including ms-13 gang members. what's your reaction? >> not surprising. we have been dealing with this for years and

republican martha mcsally congratulated sinema, the final margin over mcsally, 38,000 votes. meantime, a federal judge has ordered charges secretary of state to wait until friday to certify the results of the midterm elections, that includes an unsettled race for governor. to take steps to protect provisional ballots in georgia, the judge telling the state to establish a hotline or website where voters can check to see if the provisional ballots were counted or the reason why. another judge has ordered a county not to reject absentee ballots because the voter's birth year is missing or wrong. brian can lead stacy abrams in the state governor's race about 58,000 votes. trying to get to under 58% of the vote that would roughly take 21,000 votes that kemp and his people say is not there. president trump is firing back at french leader emmanuel macron. tonight, correspondent kevin corke from the white house tells us what's really behind this dispute. >> they are all saying what a great relationship we have. and they are actually correct. >> like so many breakups in life, there al

it is tough for mcsally already down 20,000 potentially to make this up. but it's going to take threw the weekend into next week. the other big drama on the senate front is now in the state of florida. you see the margin here, 14,000 votes and change. bill nelson behind rick scott. the counting will continue with provisional ballots between now and tomorrow around the state. we expect that will knock a little bit off this margin for scott. nelson will draw closer. the margin here will be within looks like that 0.25% threshold. which means it will not just go to a recount, but a manual recount. they'll take out the ballots. they'll inspect them by land. the counties have until tomorrow to report their final results. assuming it stays under.258%, you will get that manual recount. but if scott is going into that ahead by 5,000, 10,000 votes, that's a lot for nelson to overcome. quickly, the other final issue that has emerged here in florida is in broward county. giant county. 2 million people, heavily democratic. it does appear very possible here that the des

martha mcsally is here. she told fox business network's hillary vaughn that republicans are getting voters to the poll with scare tactic. this has been in the hands of republicans since 1995. sinema is in tucson. this morning she was passing out students reminding them when the polls close tonight. sinema has kept it a competitive race in a historically red state by staying away from party labels. here are the early ballot return numbers from the secretary of state's office. 1.59 million ballots in. nearly 42% are by republicans. democrats at about 34% and then unaffiliated at 24. that last number is what democrats say gives them reason to have some hope. now, before the polls opened this morning, the early ballot returns had already surpassed all of midterm voting for 2014. secretary of state's office said while nothing is official yet, right now they are headed toward 2016 numbers in terms of turnout. >> dana: thank you very much. we'll move on. 35 senate seats up for grabs today and many races still witho

martha mcsally was praised for the gracious way she conceded to kyrsten sinema. in a daily caller interview, the president suggested that mcsally should have pushed harder. director david chal yon is here. what do you make of this? >> i'm not sure what the president is thinking since he was not following the election returns quite as closely. mcsally was initially ahead, but kyrsten sinema didn't just edge ahead, she significantly edged ahead by tens of thousands of votes. it wasn't a close race, not like a razor thin race. it was clear to mcsally there was no chance whatsoever she was going to be the next senator. >> it's not unusual that the ballots come in after that were counted. >> it's mostly mail ballots. >> in this interview with the daily caller, the president had interesting comments about voter fraught. sometimes they go to their car and put on a different hat and shirt and come in and vote again. nobody takes anything. it's really a disgrace what's going on. the disgrace is that voter id, if you buy a box of cereal or do anything, you have a voter id.
