a former fighter pilot and senator martha mcsally and astronaut mark kelly. how do you view that race? >> martha mcsally is one of the republican's biggest fund-raiser and is still being massively out raised by marc kelly. martha mcsally is arguably the most vulnerable republican senator at the moment. she does have to think about her 2018 loss and what needs to be different this time around. at the beginning of these cycle, it appeared that a lot of her effort would go into making sure that trump's race saw her as their biggest ally. as trump's numbers begin to fall throughout the country, that is going to be a much tougher path for mcsally, who now has to come up with other ways to kind of differentiate herself from president trump as he becomes less popular in the state. she has been talking a lot about china. that is one of the issues that she has been talking about in order to not talk about trump. she's probably the most vulnerable republican at this moment. >> let's get a call or two more. we will hear from joe on the independent line from maine. >> ye

this is where republicans, it is expected, will formally nominate martha mcsally.ar. she had run in 2018 and she had lost. she is going to be running, it is expected, against mark kelly, the democrat. this is a seat the democrats think they can film. a republican seat they think they can flip. they won by a few points in 2016. the polling has been consistently showing kelly with a pretty sizable lead over mcsally. kelly has been running ahead in that race. if he were to hold him and win, that would be for democrats. let's take look at sort of the battleground, the potential battleground for the senate. break it into two categories. let's start with two states. there's alabama, a democratic seat. doug jones won a special election. very, very right state. republicans think they can get the doug jones seat and get a pick up there. there's also michigan. now, republicans have been saying that trump won that narrowly in 2016. they've been saying they can make it competitive but the polling in michigan so far has not been that competitive. if the democrats held on there,
