this one i made out of raw mdf. so i painted it to match my son's racecar themed room. and this one i built out of three-quarter inch plywood. i attached a face frame with kreg joints to cover the open plys. because the screws attach from the back, there's no nail holes to fill and sand. kreg joints are pretty amazing. easier prep, easier finishing, and stronger joints. kreg joints can be used for building, repair, and remodeling. when a chair seat or tabletop splits, drill holes in one half of the split. kreg joints will draw the pieces back together for a strong and long lasting repair. when a kitchen drawer starts to come apart, put kreg joints on the back or side. then drive kreg's screws to make the drawer as strong as new. you might think you need a table saw to build with wood. but you can build just about anything with a drill, a circular saw and kreg jig. if you buy large 4x8 sheets, the store can cut them to the 4 to 24 inch width you need - or you can use a guide for straight cuts like this kreg rip cut accessory. once your panels cut to size, a circular saw
