news 4's meagan fitzgerald joins us live from d.c. police headquarters. meagan, what happened here? >> reporter: so, eun, certainly a situation that seems hard to believe. so these police officers, though they're seen on home surveillance video, not only questioning the victim's sexuality but moments later you can see them dancing. first you'll see the victim or the suspect rather, going for the back door of the home. kicking it in on wood crest drive in southeast. the suspect grabbed some clothes and he leaves with a computer as well. the alarm cpa police knock on the front door and then they leave. when they are called out to the house for the second time by a neighbor, that's when they're heard making an assumption that the victim is gay. moments later, the officers start dancing. >> issued a statement saying in quotes, "their behavior is not representative of the we are here to help environment. we work tirelessly to uphold on a daily basis for residents and visitors in d.c." important to note that those two officers have been taken off the streets. back to you. >> meagan fitzge

hey, meagan? >> reporter: adam, it's pretty shocking. these two officers are called to the scene of this burglary. but according to that home surveillance video, it doesn't appear as they took the crime seriously. first let's show you that video. it starts off where you can see the suspect going into the back clothes and a computer. so the alarm company called police. police knocked on the front door. but then they leave. it wasn't until a neighbor notices that back door was smashed, calls police. so they return for the second time. this is where things get interesting. inside the home, you can see these officers dancing and then questioning the man's sexuality. we talked to williams, the homeowner. here's a little bit of what he had to say. >> we've got police out here dancing in my home and acting as if this is a joke. this is serious. this is my life. this is important. and i'm not going to stand for it. i'm just not going to stand for it. >> reporter: now, the police department issued a statement that i want to read for you. it says,

. >> reporter: meagan fitzgerald, news 4. >> wow. when you consider that car weighs close to 5,000 pounds, 2 1/2 tons of vehicle getting tossed around like that. >> people are really lucky. for more on the path of that tornado and to show you just how quickly it formed -- >> let's get to our storm team 4 meteorologist, amelia draper. boy, what a show there, huh? >> yeah, absolutely. pretty impressive. as you said, thankfully no one was hurt. i want to take you to the radar at the time of the storm. i put the radar between 1:35 and 1:45. that's when the tornado was on the ground. you can see the heaviest rain detected on the radar was to the north of salisbury but the tornado happened to the south around the university. we'll hone in here. you want to focus on this area south. i'll go and circle the aproximate area where the tornado was on the ground. you can see no indication on the radar there tornado down on the ground at that time. more on that in a moment. here was the actual path of the tornado, rated ef-1, with max winds at 105
