meagan fitzgerald has been tracking this. what more do we know about how the settlement came about? you mentioned, it seemed like this case was going to trial up until yesterday when it was about to start. there were a series of delays prompting speculation that the two sides were meeting. court adjourned without opening statements. this morning a settle was announced. it included a significant amount of money not disclosed and an apology. ngn offered a full apology to the duke of sussex for the serious intrusion by the sun between 1996 and 2011 into his private life including incidents of unlawful activities carried out by private investigators working for the sun. ngn further apologizes to the duke for the impact on him and of the excessive coverage and serious intrusion into his private life as well as the private life of diana, princess of wales, his late mother during his younger years. keep in mind we're talking about a company who for years denied any wrongdoing and settled with several other people. today an apology and acknowledgment that they were wrong. listen to what har
