east of route 6 and moderate rain in waldorf and a good storm, too, towards mechanicsville. we'll zoom in and look at all the lightning in the last 30 minutes or so. rainfall rates 2 to 5 inches per hour with this storm system. flooding is possible. flash flood is possible asking it drifts off to the north east at about 14, headed toward la plata at 6:09 and hughesville at 6:52 on our storm tracker. muggy tonight with showers and storms, some locally heavy. bus stop temperatures in the 70s, a few showers possible in the morning. a yellow weather alert through tomorrow. there's a cold front that will go through tomorrow and that could affect the morning commute and evening commute as well. kind of an on and off deal tomorrow. it's going to keep temps way down. i stop this at 8:30. look at the magenta. that could really affect southern maryland, st. mary's county and the lower portion of charles county. look at the temps, still in the low to mid-80s across the board by 8:30. by 9:00 still 84 downtown, still getting hammered into southern maryland. that's going to be the focus
