corporate media and the media in the west more generally so i think what would be a fair statement would be to say that the media in the west acts as a mouthpiece for western foreign policy and u.s. foreign policy specifically stephen here in san francisco how do you would you characterize it because i obviously am following the story very closely and i'm just quite amazed at the lengths that some in the corporate media will go to describing the events in crimea actually what's happening crimea now is quite quiet it's just the opposite of what you hear in the echo chamber in the u.s. . no i mean there's certainly a legitimate concerns about the russian intervention but we're not talking about a full scale invasion with. places being bombed and large numbers of people being killed or anything like that if there is a good in the double standard it is not unusual we've saw it in we've seen in the middle east we've seen and seen in central america so it's not surprising we'd see it in eastern europe as well so frankly i found both the western narrative and the russian counter narrative rathe
