meg?, everybody was waiting this morning for pfizer and the fda to put out data on the covid vaccine for kids under age five. now the fda and pfizer are saying that is all going to be delayed as they wait for the third dose data in this trial. essentially back to the original plan but we had been expecting that we're going to see data on two doses this morning because both pfizer and federal health officials signalled there were enough data because of the omicron surge to show that two doses make a big difference here however, according to both the agency and the company, more data has emerged suggesting they should wait to see the third dose so they're delaying the fda advisory committee set for tuesday. pfizer saying in a statement, quote, given the study's advancing at a rapid pace, the companies will wait for the three-dose data as they believe it may provide a higher level of protection in this age group this is disappointing for a lot of parents who expected to happen soon. there was
