norah. >> o'donnell: meg oliver, thank you.s ian heads north, let's bring in meteorologist mike bettes from our partners at the weather channel, with what we can expect in the days ahead. good evening, mike. >> norah, good evening. ian dealing a eavy blow to south carolina, making landfall officially 2:05 this afternoon as a category 1 hurricane near georgetown, south carolina. winds 85 miles per hour. it has since been downgraded, no longer a hurricane, but still likely to produce some very gusty winds. look at some of the winds we saw today. a high gust-- 92 miles per hour. in places like charleston, 68-mile-per-hour winds. and we've got a long way to go as it comes inland and likely to produce very heavy rain, very gusty winds, and the surge should begin to come down overnight tonight. the future radar shows a lot of rain spreading along the i-95 corridor, and this weekend, right into the northeast. it's not leaving our shores, norah, until some time early monday morning. >> o'donnell: mike, thank you. tonight, the confirmed
