meg terrel joins us with the details. hi meg. >> hi scott. that's right. we just got word from the hospital that thomas eric duncan, the patient from liberia diagnosed here in the united states last tuesday passed away this morning at 7:51 a.m. that is the message from the texas hospital where he was being treated. a lot of questions are arising about his treatment and about any delays in care he received. we have a timeline of when me arrived here in the youth and received care. he flew from liberia september 19th, arriving on september 209 in the u.s. he didn't have symptoms when he was flying. about four or five days later he started to feel ill and sought care at the hospital in dallas. it wasn't until sunday he was admitted and started to receive care for ebola. and then tuesday he was diagnosed. it wasn't until then the following saturday he began receiving treatment with an experimental drug brincidofovir made by chimerix so o lot of questions were raised why initially the delay. and why he was sent away with antibiotics at that time. and a lot of q
