megan, good morning. >> well, good morning, barbara. metro safety committee has been investigating several different incidents and they released their findings to the board this morning. we know the cause behind the bus fires involving the orion 6 models. we know the cause of an april derailment at the rosalyn metro station. buses roll off the metro lot in northwest and into service this morning. but more than 90 buses continue to stand idle. the orion 6s were pulled off the street after two of them suddenly burst into flames while out on the road. this incident in prince george's county was caught on a cell phone camera. just days earlier, there was a similar fire in fairfax county. so what's going on with the orion 6s? >> the high pressure, hydraulic bypass hose fitting was not installed properly. >> reporter: different hoses were involved in each fire.

"news 4's" megan mcgrath is live with more on the bus lot. megan? >> reporter: eriaaron, that's right. we're expected to get an update on the bus fires. the bus fires involving the orion 6 buses. it was quite a week for metro. they had two involved in those fires in just a few days. take a look at this video shot by a passerby on a camera phone. it happened in prince george's county. days earlier, a similar fire happened on orion 6 bus in fairfax county. fortunately there were no passengers on board in either of the incidents. there were no injuries. metro, however, did pull five of those out of service for inspection until they can figure out exactly what was going on. i should mention that those buss are just a small part of metro's fleet. metro has 1,500 buses. 94 of them were grounded for this investigation. now, orion 6 is run on diesel fuel. they were delivered to metro in the year 2000. now, we are also expecting later on this morning another update into a different investigation. that one involving the derailment that happened at the roslyn

megan, good morning. >> reporter: well, good morning. prince harry has done a lot of work with charities that help wounded soldiers. he's of course training as an apache military pilot himself. well, he is being recognized for those charitable efforts during his visit here in washington tonight. now harry is expected to visit with wounded soldiers at a reception at the british ambassador's residence this afternoon in northwest washington. the soldiers, including a group from the u.k., just took part in the warrior games in colorado last week. now that's a paralympic-style sporting event. tonight he's off to the ritz carlton to accept the atlantic council's award for distinguished humanitarian leadership. and prince harry will accept the award not only for himself but also on past of his brother, william, the duke of cambridge, who is also involved in work with wounded veterans. harry will be in washington today. no doubt a lot of royal watchers will have their eyes peeled hoping to catch a glimpse. reporting live, megan mcgrath, news4. >

our megan mcgrath is live at the world war ii memorial with more on today's events. good morning to you. >> reporter: well, good morning, eun. very quiet at the memorial at this point. of course, it's very early in the morning, but we're expecting a lot of activity as people come to honor the veterans, those who served and those who died. actually, there's a special remembrance ceremony taking place here at the world war ii memorial. that gets underway at 8:00 this morning. there will be a number of speaker, wreaths will be laid honoring those who died. and really this are a number of events taking place at memorial service all around town. there's also a -- at memorials all around town. there's also a bunch of parades. we could see thunderstorms later this afternoon. that could impact some of the events later today. that's exactly what happened last night at the u.s. capitol. of course, the annual memorial day concert, a big event. there are lots of people who come to that event every single year. it started out well. trace adkins was able to perform, but that's whe
