news4's megan mcgrath with the good news this morning. this is good news. >> reporter: yeah it is good news. it was a rocky start for a lot of people who didn't realize that the greenbelt station was closed. they came here they were turned around. others jumped on the shuttle buses but the latest development which is very positive is that the greenbelt station is now back open. that happened within the last 40 minutes or so. we have normal operations at this point on the green line. now the problem was a pedestrian bridge that collapsed in berwyn heights. take a look at the video here. that happened yesterday. apparently it was hit by the boom of a crane and it just brought it crashing down on top of tracks that were used by both metro and m.a.r.c. train. they had to spend the entire night cleaning that debris off the tracks. they weren't able to do it in time for the start of the rush hour. so we did have a closure here for a while. as metro initially opened but they have now finished that clean-up work. we have seen trains going through
