megan mcgrath is keeping an eye on the bay bridge for us in maryland this morning. it was not so bad earlier, how is it looking now? >> reporter: it still looks good. but you can see we're starting to see a little bit of hazy fog. if you look at the head lights those are the folks coming across the bridge to the eastern shore. the traffic is running at speed. no delays at the toll booth. actually a perfect time to cross the bay bridge if you're headed to the beaches this weekend. and a lot of people are. now, the advice from transportation officials is get across the bridge before 10:00 this morning. if you can't do that, then wait until after 10:00 tonight. now, just historically, traditionally, we start seeing the traffic backing up around 11:30, 12:00. especially in the area of the receive wren river bridge. it goes from four lanes of traffic down to two and that starts to stack up first. then it starts to trickle down and impact the bay bridge. we are expecting a lot of people out there, so pack your patience. and plan accordingly. back to you guys at the studio

news4's megan mcgrath is live now from capitol hill with more on parker's efforts. good morning. >> reporter: well, good morning, eun. it was certainly a shocking crime, a television news crew shot to death by a former co-worker while they did a live shot. now, the father of the reporter who was killed, he's going to be here on capitol hill later on this morning, calling for tougher gun laws. andy parker is still reeling from the death of his daughter and the photographer adam ward and he's working to prevent more deaths. he is asking lawmakers to do what ever it takes to stop the gun violence. now, that's the slogan for today's day of action. whatever it takes. and andy parker will be joined here on the hill by survivors and relatives of victims from the charleston church and sandy hook shootings and the sponsor every town is encouraging people to upload photos and messages to members of congress, calling for tougher gun legislation. now, there are a number of events scheduled around the country. the events here on capitol hill gets underway at 11:00 this morning.
