news 4's megan mcgrath just arrived on the scene of a police-involved shooting. megan. >> reporter: aaron, this began to unfoiled around 12:40 this morning. manassas city police getting a report of shots fired within the city limits. you can see this is one of the scenes here. they started to investigate that reported shot fired when they saw a vehicle that may have been involved. now if we can pan in here, zoom in here, you can see that black suv there. there's an officer at the driver's side door. that is the vehicle that they spotted. they tried to pull it over but the driver kept going. now manassas city -- the cruisers pursued the vehicle into prince william county. the driver did eventually stop here at the memorial park on bristow road. the officer at that point, there was some sort of a confrontation. the officer opened fire and wounded an 18-year-old who was behind the wheel. the driver has serious injuries according to police. there was also a juvenile who was inside that suv but the juvenile not injured. the investigation ongoing here. you can see we ha

news 4's megan mcgrath is live today. you just got new info? >> reporter: yeah, i got new information here and unfortunately it's not good news for folks who use macarthur boulevard. the crews are break right now. we are hearing from a worker on the scene that they are waiting for a part to come from alabama. so this may stretch on for white a while he a -- quite a while here. they were still trying to cut away the piece of pipe in the hole. the actual replacement pipe is on the flatbed behind me here but apparently some sort of critical part that they need is on its way from alabama. so this is going to be certainly an issue throughout the commute and in through the day. now this is a 30 inch water main that broke yesterday afternoon. take a look at the water just gushing from the middle of the street here. it was a real mess. this impacting a rather large area. the closure is from reservoir to foxhall road. the site with the hole, that is between q and elliott, but certainly a major commuter route and this is going to be tied up for a while.

on the bay, megan mcgrath, news 4. >> megan has a full report at 5:00 tomorrow.out in the bay today, chilly start today for sure. >>> yeah, only in the 40s right now. but we're talking a heat wave here midweek. and starting off this morning, got a little bit of fog. some of the rural areas. sprinkles of rain as well. over the direct, just a few clouds are passing through. we've had a few sprinkles. there's that one cloud producing a brief sprinkle there in montgomery county. there to the left of the cloud. it's a blue sky, it's all clear across virginia for the part. 50 degrees now at reagan national near 50 around the chesapeake bay. so far, mother's day today by 9:00, near 60. then by noon, low 70s, midafternoon though, upper 70s with lots of sunshine through the afternoon, but it is going to get breezy. winds gusting to around 30 miles an hour as we get into the afternoon hours. storm team 4 ten day outlook, gorgeous weather on monday. tomorrow morning we'll be down into the low 50s and then afternoon highs, the mid-70s with lots of sunshine and a lighter wind
