news 4's megan mcgrath is live with what we know about this incident. megan? >> good morning.yattsville police say he was working as an uber driver at the now wanted for a sexual offense. take a look at this photo here. this is 43-year-old ergun gunes. and police are looking for help from the public in locating him. he is still on the lam here. the incident on june 26th, a week and a half ago right around 11:00 p.m. in the area of queens chapel road and hamilton street. that's in the hyattsville area. now police say that gunes was working as an uber driver at the time. his car is a dark colored toyota 2015 rav4 and it has virginia plates. now ergun gunes is no longer working as an active uber driver but still on the loose. police trying to track him down. if you have any information about his whereabouts you're asked to call the hyattsville police. back to you guys. >> megan mcgrath live in hyattsville, thank you. >>> one person recovering after a small explosion at the university of maerpds's chemistry building at about 2:00 y the building did have to be evacuated. one person

news4's megan mcgrath is live in fairfax with a look at why the group is coming together and what this will mean for your travel plans today. megan? >> reporter: hey, yeah, negative been rallying here for about an hour outside nra headquarters here in fairfax. you can see they're on both sides of the street here. one group over there listening to speeches, another group lining the roadway here with signs. we also have an ambulance that's coming in here because of the extreme heat, apparently someone has had some difficulty with the heat and so that's what that ambulance is about here. now, the folks here are calling for gun control, things like background checks for all gun purchases, a ban on assault rifles. after the rally, though, noon, the group will march to the department of justice in d.c. that's an 18-mile trek and it's going to take several hours, they figure about seven hours. but again, the heat complicating things and we are expecting the possibility of some thunderstorms lig thunderstorms later on this afternoon. coming back to me here live, you can see just down the sidew

. >> indian head highway had to be shut down for hours and megan mcgrath is live along the highway at what's become a dangerous stretch of road. >> reporter: yeah, guys, this is indian head highway behind me, also known as route 210, and this morning's accident happened right here between kirby hill and palmer road and it was a bad one. a head-on collision, two men were killed. extreme, residents say there are accidents both big and small on 210 all the time. the two cars hit head-on, the force so strong that both drivers were trapped inside their vehicles. they were pronounced dead on the scene. the cause? investigators believe that one of the cars was driving the wrong way down indian head highway. >> they do not believe that the -- one of the vehicles crossed over the median strip but rather that one of the cars was actually traveling northbound in southbound lanes of indian head highway. >> reporter: route 210 was closed in both directions, making for a tough start to the rush hour for commuters in ft. washington. all lanes are back open now, but people who live along this stretch
