melanie is live with all the details. good morning, melanie. >> reporter: good morning. this is all related to the city's speed camera program as we well know. there's been a lot of criticism. generated $85 million just in last fiscal year alone. new york avenue the camera is the third most ticketed. now, the higher speed limits that will begin here is not in where that speed camera is. it is part of mayor gray's comprehensive review. so let's look at where they raised the speet limits. first here on new york avenue eastbound, 45 miles an hour. new york avenue westbound from the maryland line to blade nsburg road. north capitol street from michigan to harewood road 40 to 45. and canal road from chain bridge to foxhall. >>> do have speed camera programs is to make sure before they put a camera in to make sure the speed limits are appropriate for the roadways. mayor gray says the reassessment of the speed limit shows the changes can be made without compromising safety. also the same for parts of 295 as well. those are the most ticketed locations about a month ago. the city
