to bring you live updates an a special guest speaking here, we'll show you what he had to say, melissa cain, kpix 5. >>> dozens of local firefighters are now heading to the campfire, this is what they are calling it, up in butte county. >>> allen martin is here with the massive strike team that left the peninsula, a lot of bay area. >> cal fire crews need help as fast as possible because of the conditions out there. the fire exploded to 18,000 acres since it sparked at 6:30 this morning. fire crews met in foster city to mobilize resources and then head up north. dozens of crew members with departments all over the peninsula are forming a urgent need strike team. >> so sad to see the people that are affected, some people were burned, people losing properties and homes and struggling to evacuate. it effects you emotional for sure. >> strike team made up of 17 firefighters, fremont and hayward, they are headed to the fire lines while driving under the massive dark cloud of smoke there. earlier in the day, heading east on 580 all headed up as well to help battle those flames. crews in san mateo
