melissa don, abc news, los angeles. >> a driver died this afternoon near the bay bridge toll plaza when their vehicle slammed into the rear of a big rig. video of the crash on eastbound 8-80 shows a honda sedan wedged into the back of the big rig. the front windshield was completely shattered. the deceased driver was the only person in the car. the driver of the big rig was not injured. in the south bay, san jose police are remembering one of their own killed trying to keep others safe. today, police identified the community service officer killed by a suspected drunk driver and share new details about the suspect's criminal history. police identified the fallen officer as long pham, who graduated from the academy less than two years ago. the crash happened late saturday night on monterey road near palm avenue. pham and his partner was standing behind their patrol car, managing traffic around an unrelated crash. police say the suspected drunk driver smashed into their patrol car, which then hit the officers. pham died at a hospital the other officer is still in the hospital dealing with
