. >> let's get more now from fox business news anchor melissa francis in new york. good evening, melissa. >> good evening. >> so does this jobs report show the economy is getting stronger as the president said? >> slowly. slowly. i mean, the number that came in was lower than what economists had expected, and you talked about the economic data we got earlier in the week. you know, it showed that the gross domestic product, the economy expanded by 4%. this number doesn't match up with this one. i mean, you don't add 209,000 jobs when the economy is growing at 4% so, it kind of tells you that either that number is going to be revised lower or that growth hasn't continued. so the bottom line is getting better but slowly. >> as you pointed out, 200,000 jobs created in the last month, but still the unemployment rate moved higher, moved up. how come? >> well, that can be interpreted as good news. that means that more people got back into the race and decided to go out and find a job. some would say that they got back in because they're more hopeful that it feels like there

melissa francis is in new york tonight with an explanation. melissa, good evening. i heard neil talking about this earlier. saw a couple of pieces on this. hat is this about. why should anybody be concerned? >> reporter: it's a growing trend and i feel we see a new headline on this every day. about a company buying another company overseas or they merge together and end up moving their hours to that new country because they feel it's a better tax environment, better are regulatory environment. the one that made headlines was walgreen's they bought alliance boots which is based in europe, a swiss company. they already own a piece of it. they bought the rest of it. it would have made logical sense for them to move their headquarters to switzerland. immediately the tax rate there is approximately 17.9% depending on local tax and this and that. they pay about 35% here. right away they would have had a big tax savings. it's what their investors wanted. they decided against this because there's a lot of political pressure right now. >> walgreen's announced they will keep
