here to guide us is fashion expert melissa garcia. so good to see you. >> good morning.ot three different styles for us this morning so everyone can find a perfect swimsuit. what's the first look? >> yes, i know. i can't even believe we're talking swimwear. but this season, there's tons of great trends and starting with what's next to you is high shine. so we're all looking for ways to step up our clothes game. you know, we've all been in our sweats for a long time and swimsuits are no exception. so it's all about this gorgeous metallic high shine. i love these suits. these are from loft and i love the option of doing a full piece and also a bikini because, you know, we don't all want to wear bikinis, so i love the full piece option, and these are seemingly simple silhouettes but completely elevated. just by the fabric along. this is a beautiful option for the summer. >> a little sparkle on your swimsuit so that you can be a little dressed up at the beach or theool. what else do you have for us over here? i'm seeing some patterns. >> yes, so pattern and cutouts are two b

fashion expert melissa garcia joins us now with three of the hottest new trends for 2021 to freshen up, but are people really ready to trade in the sweatpants for real clothes? >> you know, i wasn't sure either, but a recent study in "the wall street journal" article was published saying that 20% of sales are up now, retail sale. i think there's a trend towards people getting rid of their clothing and getting into the great clothing that we all want to get back into. no more sweats. >> no more sweats, and we're going to get right into it because we have our models who also happen to be three "gma" producers. nicole, tori and tony. this first hot trend for women has some unexpected inspiration. dad jeans. we've seen them being worn by george clooney, jerry seinfeld and president obama has been caught out in the dad jeans. nicole is wearing dad pants. tell us about that. >> yes. so we're just drawing inspiration from these guys. we're not actually wearing these. these are the dad pants, so again, drawing inspiration from the jeans and what i love about these is like we were saying, we ha
