we are packed with stars next week on "today," just a small tease here matthew mcconaughey, melissa mccarthyhe pacific northwest. we're going to see all that moisture make its way onshore. it's coming in the form of rain from seattle right down into portland we are going to see some mountain snow, especially in the higher elevations where we could see up to a foot of snow that cold front will move in, bring that snow to the northern rockies, the cascades, and that continues to move to the east before a second one brings another round of heavy rain as early as saturday afternoon. so we're going to see a lot of rain going into the weekend and some of that mountain snow elsewhere across the country it is chilly back through the middle of the country where temperatures are only in the lower 40s. in the northeast we'll clear things out through the day and finally drying out in the southeast after a very, very wet day yesterday with up to 10 inches in parts of north carolina >> good morning. i'm meteorologist kari hall as we take a look at our seven-day forecast. we're going to have some upper 50s
