republican assembly woman melissa melendez says five lawmakers received about a billion dollars worth of state funds from the governor's office in exchange for their support. that money was to be used for projects within the districts. now, the governor's office says this type of thing was simply business as usual, and melendez says this absolutely crossed the line. >> you can't say i'll give you this if you give me that in exchange. that's just illegal. there's no getting around it. >> melendez sent a letter to california's attorney general several weeks ago, asking for her claims to be investigated. so far, no action has been taken. the governor's office has not responded. >> some state lawmakers say the democratic majority in sacramento is denying funds to repair levees damaged after the oroville spillway problem. they're calling for $100 million in funding. nielsen's office says democrats have denied that funding. no reason was given. >> so charges have now been against a man who hit a sacramento mayor with a pie. the man was originally charged with felony assault for this inciden
