craig melvin, the weekend anchor of nbc 4 at 6:00 and 11:00 pm. he hails from columbia, south carolina. he's been working in journalism since his high school days when he was named our generation reporter. at the cbcf we would like to herald our emerging leaders and we clearly see craig melvin as one of the emerging leaders in journalism. his report on innovative teaching earned him an award from the associated press making him one of the youngest reporters ever to receive such recognition. after completely college in spartansburg, mr. melvin returned to columbia where he soon began anchoring the evening news and he earned an emmy award and best anchor recognition from the south carolina broadcasters association. please join me in welcoming to the podium craig melvin. that's our man melvin who is one of the security detail here. he told me that.estbound bay bridge coming up to the toll plaza it looks pretty clear here at the toll plaza. san francisco it's clear. yesterday it was fogged in. northbound 101 approaching the 80 split that traffic is moving along well. so, again, you'll be driving in mostly clear weather but then every once in a while you might drive into a patch of fog. at 5:07 go to steve. >>> that is correct, sal. yesterday almost sold out for everybody. the fog was there. not the case this morning. there are areas where it's clear. and then you hit the wall of fog again and you'll clear it. so we have a little bit different pattern today. no rain in sight that's for sure. unless you're up there by eureka and crescent city. that's about it. dense fog advisory out. mainly down to san jose, santa clara valley. not south towards monterey even though i'm sure there's fog down there as well. fog advisory, reduced visibility but not as bad as yesterday. should burn off sooner for many today. sunshine, dry, cool to war
