i have one item in memoriam. colleagues, today in coordination with the san francisco bicycle coalition i am requesting a report from the budget and legislative analysts on what it would take for san francisco to implement a successful municipal bike-share program. amidst all of the uncertainties of the pandemic, including the severe reduction of transit service that we have discussed, we're seeing a surge of support for cycling and walking. the pandemic has highlighted the importance of non-motorized transport. and i think that there's a real question, will we emerge from this pandemic with people retreating to their private vehicles, or to reinvigorated transit network of green streets, bikeways and robust public transportation. and i think that as we look forward and think about the future of transportation in our city, we need to be bold. and that means restoring muni service as to supervisor melgar's resolution before us and demands and doubling down on our transit first mandate. it means embracing slow stre

i have one in memoriam. colleague, i'm asking we adjourn today's meeting in memory of terry fry. that is terry with three rs, she would want us to be clear on that. i want to thank supervisor peskin for joining in this request and terry died on february 4th at the age of 74. i am grateful it was among those who got to know and love this sweet spitfire of a woman during her many years of activism in san francisco. terry was born in pittsburgh, pennsylvania on may eighth, 1946 and first came to san francisco in the early 1970s only to leave and return for good in the early 1980s. she worked as a bike messenger and active in the bike messenger. her brother died from aids related ma moania and and the arc aids vigil which was a process gets inaction on it's a that permitted out the federal building for 10 years. it was very important and she works to memorial eyes it using photos, journals from the society to mark the vigils 25th an verse and 2010 and advocating for the placement of a plaque at the site in the plaza, the harvey milk club was a political home and i got to know her. sh

as i mentioned, i also have two in memoriam. and first is a request that we adjourn today's meeting in memory of patrick h. york who died unexpectedly and way too young on december 17 at the age of 35. patrick was born in wheatland, wyoming, and raised in glendale, wyoming, where his grandmother and grandfather raised him and he attended the university of utah where he earned a degree in anthropology and minor in geography. he was politically active as a college student and joined the prop a campaign to fight for marriage equality. he loved to attend rallies and protests and was always eager to support his community. during his time living in san francisco, patrick worked a z a real estate agent with coldwell banker for over eight years as a personal train we are fitness sf and was the owner o f a boutique underwear company. i first met patrick working at mr. leather and gearing up for the ill fated 2010 run for supervisor, i knew that any gay supervisor who wanted to be worth his salt needed a pair of leather pants. patrick too
