it is alaska's capital, home it a remarkable national wonder, the mendenhall glacier. and if all goes well, i may get up close to another alaskan icon, the grizzly. i may or may not come back after this. be sure to join us as "today" takes off thursday. >> someone may be trying to tell you something, sending you to alaska with the grizzlies. next week, siberia. >>> dylan's got a look at the weather. >> and we are looking at a big storm out near japan. we have a category 4 equivalent, almost a category 5. this is super typhoon neoguri. it is south of okinawa, japan. winds right now at 155 miles per hour. it is going to strengthen into a category 5 equivalent as it passes to the west of okinawa. then it should make landfall on the mainland of japan as a cate. it is a big one. we will certainly keep an eye on it for folks out that way.
