also raiding marijuana farms in six northern california counties, part of a major operation to get rid of illegal marijuana farms in the mendocino national forest. it's a mix of law enforcement from federal to county. the raids started last week and officers arrested 77 people and netted 300,000 marijuana plants. the raids include lake county. the east bay teen who went face-to-face with a bear in the alaskan wilderness on his first trip out of richmond ever is back home this morning with an incredible story to tell. cheers and tears for the 18-year-old victor martin, as he hobbled on crutches into his richmond home. martin and six other teens were walking single file across a river when the bear attacked in the mountains north of anchorage. the bear bit martin on the ankle. the teen's sense of humor still intact. >> oh, yeah, i looked at him. i kicked him dead up in his face right in the middle. kicked him. we was done after that k.o., you don't mess with me. don't play that. >> all joking aside he is very lucky to be alive. all seven teens were injured by the bear. two are still in the hospital in alaska with serious injuries.
