>> commissioner mendoza mcdonald? >> i want to thank you all for making this effort, particularly hearing voices that we don't normally get an opportunity to hear and i think that we kind of take for granted what we think people want and need and what their experience is, and so i was and i really appreciate it as you were reading through all of the comments, that they were you know, coming from parents who probably have never been to a board meeting, who probably never had an opportunity to be asked what do you think about this or what is your experience has been or what does your child need? and so, this just reminds me that we need to do more of this, and not only around satisfaction, but just feedback, on so many of the and so much of the work that we are doing, particularly because we are moving forward on a lot of pieces that really we feel that we want to address around the equity and access and so, and again this begs the question, what is equity and access look like? how does it fall on people and what is it

. >> miss mendoza mcdonald. >> yes. >> murase. >> yes. >> norton. >> yes. >> fewer. aye. >> and now i will call to public comment on this issue, trisha carlin, lori worth and jennifer bester and you have two minutes each, please. >> good evening commissioners. my name is lori word and i am a long time san francisco tax pay and her voter my daughter attends public school in san francisco. i became involved with educate our state when i learned that the state has been diverting half of our local taxes that should be going to our schools and using the money to pay the state debts, san francisco is not reporting this. this diversion of funds has been going on since 2004, and nobody has said anything about it. property taxes allocated for schools need to go to our schools. as a parent, this is very important to me. the educate our state ballot initiative will stop the strain on the local funds and return the property tax money to schools. on behalf of san francisco public school parents, i urge you to join other school districts throughout california, and support the goal
