minority community here in san jose, eric, has been pushing for this and according to the san jose mercury news it has happened. the mercury news is reporting that the new chief, chris moore, has taken this step in an effort to repair the strained relationship between minorities and police. when it was announced he was the new chief, activists made their presence known. they were calling for change and weren't sure they were going to get it with moore, but moore has made good on his promise. as of last week the san jose policy now says it's a violation for an officer to show any bias behavior at anytime during an encounter with the public before they focus on an initially stop, a officer couldn't pull someone over because of race. now the entire encounter is under scootrutiny. they call this a huge shift in the right direction. the complaints against racial profiling, none was found to have merit. the police chief is hoping that the investigations into these complaints will now be more thorough. live in san jose, amy hollyfield, abc 7 news. >> thank you so much, amy. it's 5:02. grief couns
