mark meredith's live in washington with the details. this week the house is expected to vote to send impeachment articles over to the senate. it comes after the house improved to impeachment articles back in mid december. she has held onto the articles. the delay wasn't necessary. to compel them to allow witnesses to testify. it's up to each senator to ensure a fair trial. over 70% of the american people think that the president should have those witnesses testify. it is about a fair trial. they take a fair trial. now the ball is in the court to do that or pay a price. they had grown frustrated over the delay. they move the impeachment to the senate sooner rather than later. >> i need to get it to the senate. we need a real fair trial to begin and let the american people listen and think for themselves. mitch mcconnell has not ruled out allowing witnesses to testify. he has the votes to start a trial now. and decide on witnesses later. >> he is when to give us as much of a fair trial there is a key difference between trials and coverups
