joining us this morning for reaction, meredith college political science professor, doctor david mclennan. it's got to be fun to be a political student on a day like today. >> it is. this is the start of the primary season, relatively short time until the general election. this is a fun time to be excited. >> did clinton win? >> i think clinton may have squeaked by but she will claim that she skimmed bernie sanders tie and carries momentum in new hampshire. on the other hand, sanders said i was up by 30 points out just a few weeks ago, i've got momentum on my side. that's a race for both sides can declare victory as opposed to the republican side. >> on the republican side, ted cruz is claiming a clear-cut win. donald trump says he's still going to fight on. is that a little bit of humility that he needs at this point in his campaign? >> is basic claim for the last few months is invincibility. make statement after statement. we've got to remember new hampshire is not iowa. d so, whereas ted cruz may say i did well in iowa, i've got momentum, he may not do as well. >> how about rubio? 30 s
