the met office say people really need to be careful and take care as they go out. the traffic chaos in the midlands, the other story yesterday was of power outages, not just here but across the country. 500 homes in the midlands still without power today. power has been restored to 70,000 homes in other areas. the metropolitan police say a woman who was found dead yesterday in a park may have been murdered on christmas eve. the body of the woman, believed to be in her 20s, was found in a building near a sports pitch in finsbury park in north london. detectives are appealing for information from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area over the christmas period. 0ur correspondent tolu adeoye is at finsbury park and has the details. well, we know that a woman was reported missing in the days leading up to this discovery. but no formal identification has been made. next of kin are still trying to be identified. we understand a member of the public found the woman's body in an outbuilding in the centre of the park, next to a sports pitch. police and the ambulance

looking ahead, the met office are saying that the snow will ease.rtment building in the bronx district of new york. the city's mayor, bill de blasio, called it the worst fire of its kind in the city in 25 years. the victims, including a one—year—old child, died on various floors of the five—storey building, as jon ironmonger reports. it is new york's deadliest blaze for decades. fire broke out on the first floor of the five—storey apartment building and spread rapidly, sparking panic among residents in a busy corner of the bronx district. fire crews arrived at the scene within three minutes, but it was too late for many of the residents. those who managed to escape described the chaos as people rushed to flee the smoke. the fire truck wasn't even here yet when all the smoke and stuff was coming out at first. they weren't even here yet. they started to get everybody out, but people were on the fire escape already trying to get down on their own. that's how fast it was moving. at least 12 people were rescued from the building, as firefighters plucked
