and meta is not alone. you've got others of these social media platforms that are right in there with them. they keep dishing up this harmful and destructive content. why do we have a mental health crisis for our children in this country? could this possibly be a part of the problem? why is it that one in three american teenage girls has contemplated suicide? could this possibly be a part of the problem? why is it that we're finding out that well over a third of all kids meet a drug dealer online? why is it that we are learning that children that meet and are groomed by a sex trafficker are first meeting them on line? the lack of care and concern for our nation's children, stunning. and this is big tech, they'd rather make a buck than protect a child. don't try to take away their ability to keep people locked in on that screen. the longer they can keep them, the happier they are. well, all of this is one of the reasons for the last several years senator blumenthal and i have worked on the kids online safety

let's move on to another familiar name, meta. >> well, meta's another one the institutions are changingas just a week and a half if ago they were 70% institutionally owned, now they're up to 78, and the stock has gone up $30 a share over that time frame. meta is probably the is second best stock in the market from 202423 next to -- 20223 next to nvidia, but it's got lots of room to grow. the other thing people are discounting is really the nasdaq is still 2-3% below the last 24 months, so is we're just now getting back to break even. is it too pricey to own at 30 times earnings on meta? absolutely not. that's my core holding right now. ashley: a very good. well, stuart or varney will talk all day long about microsoft. you like it too, right? >> i like microsoft a lot. it's probably one of the best a.i. plays to own out there, so you've got a little bit of a longer-dated approach, the next 24-30 months. you definitely want to own some moth. it's the up the least out of the fang seven group year the date, but it's got the most institutional ownership. that tells you it's a good longer ter

and that means meta and alphabet. to their peer for group, still relatively attractive. so i think you could play it both for the long term and for the election year bounce if you're looking at something like meta or google-alphabet. stuart: what about xlk? that's a technology etf, right? >> right. and this is what i was getting at with the 20-year number. much better to own a basket of stocks in an etf. you bundle or all the big tech fakes that you -- names that you talk about, the nvidias, microsofts of the world, put them in a tech etf, and that way you avoid that single stock risk because all too often these 20-year buy for your kid and save it, what if it was a citicorp or ford, we've seen near disasters with ibmge, certainly. you want to avoid buying and holding blindly for 20 years. you can diversify with an xlk, a basket of america's best. stuart: i'm just intrigued at meta and alphabet because they would cash in bigging time on the ad craze next year during the election. i think you've got a good point there.
