. >> metrologist dave warren turning to the weather. we are seeing two storms impacting the pacific north-west. the first moved through. the second is developing, bringing rain into the area. this is what it looked like with rain and wind across seattle and washington and oregon. heavy rain leading to flooding. 2-3 inches of rain fell, some places had 4-5 inches, leading to flooding. an additional 2-3 inches is expected and the storm will intensify as it moves to the most. we are tracking this all. this is where it's developing, an area of low pressure, pressure dropping. it will intensify. this is picked up by the computer forecast. look how the lines grew out. this is an indication that the pressure is dropping. the wind will pick up, rain will get heavy. in the next few hours will see the wind pick up and rain heavy along the coast in washington and oregon, in the snow. it's a powerful storm. it continues to develop. more on this and the national forecast when i come back. >> when we come back, it's phase 2 in a civil trial of a petr

dave warren is up next with the forecast. >> i'm metrologist dave warren, we are watching the pacific north-west of the this is the second. heavy rain causing flooding. the next storm, which is intensifying off the coast of washington will bring a round of wind and rain. it could be stronger with this. the storm intensifies, and the low pressure - a classic low pressure system. the lines continue to grow out from the storm, indicating pressure is dropping rapidly. quick intensivication. by 8 o'clock specific time. the wind could be gusty. the heavy rain coming down. >> this is the next 6 hours, the storm will move onshore. the wind will gust along the coast of washington and oregon. >> high wind warning remains, a flooding problem for washington, oregon. higher elevations expects to see snow as the storm moves onshore. rain conditions, it will lead to flooding and wind damages. that's the next few days in seattle. monday and tuesday wind and rain. wednesday, thursday, friday drying out. temperatures are warming in the mid west, up to the 70s as the front moves through, dropping temper

. >> i'm metrologist dave warren. out in the west a large storm off the coast of canada and waves of rain going over the same area. all the water coming in over the mountains dumping inches of rain around washington and oregon. you can see the rain coming in. you get a break. rain coming in over the rockies. all dealing with a lot of wind and rain. flood watches and warnings are in effect. around tabbing uma is flooding. the tan colours are wind viz ris and high wind warnings. white is the winter weather getting snow. they'll continue to dump more rain. the next 24 hours looks like this. rain expected, in the mountains, and montana. flooding is expected. finally all of this rain will begin to clear out. this is one storm we are keeping an eye on. the other is on the east coast and is developing. what does it mean for new england and mid-atlantic - we'll look at if in the forecast later. >> more countries are switching to payroll cards. millions are being hit with salary fees, meaning some are getting less than minimum

. >> i'm metrologist dave warren. tracking storms. rain moving into chicago. cold air from the north. a big contrast. colder air moving in, 24 hours ago it was 20. close to 30 degrees warmer. it's a brief cool down. where the storm was in north and south dakota, the temperatures are climbing, up 26 degrees from this time yesterday in rapid city. there's the rain. look at the north-west. there's rain in oregon. look at this. all the moisture hitting the mountains, dumping rain. there's wind and rain in the north-west. we'll look at that in the national forecast later. >> looking forward to it. mazda is recalling some stars. they are concerned that 161,000 mid-sized cars in the united states. the manufacturer says the door latch mounting screws can loosen, stopping the doors mounting. recalls from 2009 to 2013 mazda 6 cars, traced to improper tightening and uneven door surfaces. >> gang violence in chicago reached a boiling point. a unique event tried to cool tensions. the idea was to bring together gang members, clergy and community to stop the murders. the sum
