. >> joining us now live on the phone is penndot's charles metzger.ning, charles, how are you? >> good morning. how are you this morning? >> good. we've termed this storm a nuisance storm, especially since it's coming during the morning commute. what are you doing differently considering the timing of this storm during the morning rush? >> this is a good time for this storm to happen. we've had our crews out since yesterday. they've been putting down salt brine applications on the roadways to prevent the snow from forming a bond to the roadway. so we have 180 trucks out right now. we have 95,000 tons of salt left on hand. we have plenty of manpower and materials at our disposal and we are going to get through the morning rush and then by that time, we'll be working into the early afternoon as we're expecting the storm to push out. we should be in good shape. >> have you been in touch with any of of the plows or those individuals working on the roads? are there any problems that have been reported so far? >> there's only been one reported spinout on 95

karen metzger, a family friend, recalls that jake wanted to have a career in the army and more than anything come back to verdin and live the life of a gentleman farmer. so with the support of his family and a nomination from then-senator chuck hagel, jake left nebraska in june of 2000 to begin his first year at the u.s. military academy at west point. as soon as he arrived, jake earned the reputation as a warm and supportive person. his friend, first lieutenant travis reinfold recalls jake's midwestern values.
